Former Finance and Agriculture Minister Amos Kimunya Arrested by Anti-Craft Police



Former Finance Minister, Amos Kimunya, was today  14th March 2014 arrested by the anti-craft officers following orders from the Director of Prosecution Keriako Tobiko.

The Director of Prosecution ordered for his arrest following claims that he misused his powers during his time as the Minister for Transport. this came after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission recommended that he should be arrested after investigation regarding the allocation of the land in Nyandarua County.

Amos Kimunya is said to own the company which he allocated the said piece of land without notifying the Ministry of Agriculture.

He was picked from a Hotel in Nairobi and taken to Integrity Building for questioning.. He will appear in court on Monday  to take a plea.
